HUBBLE HABITS — PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

Hubble Habits ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, username, and password when you create an account.
- Habit Data: Habit names, icons, completion records, and any notes you enter.
- Profile Data: Your chosen character, display preferences, and notification settings.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, and interactions within the App.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

2.3 Advertising Information (free accounts only)
We show ads from Google AdMob to users on the free tier. AdMob may collect your advertising identifier, device information, approximate (non-precise) location, and ad interaction data in order to serve and measure ads. Where required, we ask for your consent before any personalised advertising, and you can change that choice at any time under Settings > Ad Privacy Settings. Premium removes ads entirely.

2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites unless you have granted permission to do so for advertising purposes.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (habit tracking, XP, levelling, characters).
- To enable social features such as the leaderboard, friend requests, and friend-based rankings.
- To provide AI-powered habit productivity assessments.
- To send notifications you have opted into (e.g. daily habit reminders).
- To process subscriptions and manage your account tier (free/premium).
- To display advertising to free-tier users and to measure its performance.
- To improve the App based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

4. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use authentication tokens and row-level security policies to ensure only you can access your personal data. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 8).

5. DATA SHARING & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information in the following cases:
- Leaderboard & Social Features: If you opt in, your username, level, XP, and character are visible to other users on the leaderboard and to your friends.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services for authentication, data storage, and AI processing. These providers only access data necessary to perform their functions and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App uses the following third-party services:
- Cloud Backend: For authentication, database, and serverless functions.
- AI Services: For habit productivity assessments (data is processed but not stored by the AI provider).
- Google AdMob: For serving ads to free-tier users. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and its list of advertising partners at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data via your account settings.
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Opt out of the leaderboard and social features at any time via Settings.
- Withdraw consent for notifications via your device settings.
- Change or withdraw your advertising consent via Settings > Ad Privacy Settings, and your tracking permission via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

9. APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY

Free accounts see ads supplied by Google AdMob. To show ads that are more relevant, AdMob can use your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), which counts as tracking across other companies' apps and websites.

Because of this, the App presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the App works exactly the same and you will still see ads — they are simply not personalised. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and your advertising consent under Settings > Ad Privacy Settings.

Premium accounts see no ads and no advertising identifier is used.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
