This Privacy Policy explains how the Thought Treat app ("Thought Treat", "we",

"us") handles information when you use it. Thought Treat is a daily-quote and

reflection app. It is built to work with as little of your data as possible -

most of what you create never leaves your device.

## The short version

 

- Your **reflections, journal entries, streaks, and preferences stay on your

device.** We do not upload them, and we cannot read them.

- We do **not** show ads, and we do **not** track you across other apps or

websites.

- We do **not** use any third-party analytics (no Firebase, Google Analytics,

Mixpanel, etc.).

- The only data that leaves your device is what Apple and our subscription

provider need to process a purchase, and an anonymous request to download the

daily quotes.

## Information stored only on your device

 

The following is created and stored **locally on your device** using Apple's

on-device storage. It is never transmitted to us and is not accessible to us:

 

- Your written **reflections and journal entries**

- Your **practice completions and streak history**

- Your **saved quotes** and category preferences

- App **settings** such as your chosen language and daily-reminder time

 

If you delete the app, this information is removed with it. If you use iCloud

device backups, a copy may be included in your own Apple backup, which is

controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy - not by us.

 

## Subscriptions and purchases

 

Thought Treat offers an optional paid subscription, **Thought Treat+**. Purchases

are processed by **Apple** through the App Store, and subscription status is

managed on our behalf by **RevenueCat, Inc.**, which acts as our data processor.

 

To manage your subscription and unlock premium features, the following is

processed:

 

- **Purchase and subscription data** (for example: which product you bought,

purchase and renewal dates, and whether your subscription is active)

- An **anonymous app-user identifier** generated by RevenueCat to associate a

purchase with an installation

 

We do **not** receive your name, email address, or payment card details from

Apple. This information is used only to deliver and restore your subscription -

never for advertising or tracking. For details, see Apple's Privacy Policy and

RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

 

## Daily quote content

 

Thought Treat downloads its quote library from our content backend (hosted on

**Supabase**). This is a **read-only** request for public content. It does not

include your reflections, your identity, or any account information. If the app

cannot reach the backend, it falls back to a quote pack bundled inside the app,

so it keeps working offline.

 

## Notifications

 

If you turn on the daily reminder, notifications are scheduled **locally on your

device** by the operating system. We do not operate a push-notification server

and do not receive any information when a reminder is delivered.

 

## What we do not do

 

- We do **not** sell or rent your personal information.

- We do **not** use your data for advertising.

- We do **not** track you across other companies' apps or websites (no App

Tracking Transparency prompt is shown because we do not track).

- We do **not** run third-party analytics or attribution SDKs.

 

## Data retention and deletion

 

On-device data is retained until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.

Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their

respective policies and as required to provide the subscription service and meet

legal obligations. To delete your on-device data, delete your entries in the app

or uninstall Thought Treat.

 

## Your rights

 

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California

CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal

information, and to object to certain processing. Because the personal data we

handle is limited to subscription information held by Apple and RevenueCat, you

can exercise most of these rights directly through:

 

- **Apple** - manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store account

settings.

- **RevenueCat** - as our processor, they act on our instructions; contact us

and we will assist with any request.

## Children's privacy

 

Thought Treat is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum

age in your country) and does not knowingly collect personal information from

them.

 

## International users

 

Our content backend region is located in the European Union. Subscription data

processed by Apple and RevenueCat may be handled in the United States and other

countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to such transfers.

 

## Changes to this policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material

changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and post the revised policy

at the same address. Your continued use of the app after an update means you

accept the revised policy.
